Brexit: Last Minute Call
With 2 months until the end of the Brexit transitional period on December 31, both firms and individual entrepreneurs are wondering if they are fully prepared for it. This is the last minute call to make sure that Brexit will not surprise us and that companies from the European Union and the UK will be able to continue their business smoothly.
During transition the UK still follows EU rules and trade between the two is the same as before. However, the EU relationship with the UK will be very different after the UK leaves the EU single market and the customs union at the end of the year.
As of the 1st of January 2021, transport of goods to and from the United Kingdom always will start with a declaration to Customs. Therefore, businesses trading with the UK should perform analysis of their logistics chain and contractual arrangements to be prepared on time.
Andersen VAT & Customs EU Service Line is pleased to announce that organizes a webinar on Thursday November 12th, 2020 (4.00 pm CET) where representatives of the European Commission will present customs implications of Brexit whereas the VAT Andersen partners will present VAT consequences from both EU and the UK perspective.
To attend this webinar you can register here or on the registration button. Once you have done so, you will receive the data to access it.
We hope that the webinar will be of interest and we will be delighted to have you.
