The Energy Regulatory Authority requests explanations from entrepreneurs

Recently, a number of entrepreneurs have received requests from the Energy Regulatory Authority (“URE”) for explanations regarding their consumption of natural gas for purposes other than energy generation. On 4 October 2021, assumptions underlying the bill on whistleblower protection (hereinafter: the Bill) were published on the website of the Council of Ministers. The Bill is intended to implement the EU Directive on Whistleblower Protection – Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law (EU Official Journal L 2019 no 305 p. 17).
