European Employment Insights April 2025
We invite you to read the April issue of Andersen European Employment Insights, analyzing key legislative changes, recent business trends and the most important case law from selected EU countries.
What’s new in Poland?
- New draft law on employment of foreigners – includes increased criminal penalties for employers who breach labor laws, including failure to pay salaries for at least three months.
- Transparency of salaries – the Supreme Court comments on the bill requiring employers to disclose proposed salaries in job offers.
- Employee illness – the Supreme Court rules that an employee’s illness does not constitute a force majeure that interrupts the limitation period for claims.
Partners Spotlights
This month’s European Partner Spotlight features Ivan Matić, a partner at KALLAY & PARTNERS law firm in Zagreb, who discusses significant changes to Croatia’s Act on Foreigners. Interviewed by Magdalena Patryas (Andersen in Poland), Ivan explains that the changes mean faster recruitment processes and greater transparency in navigating the updated legislation in Croatia.
