Panel 1: Increase of Customs duties in the world and their impact on cross border scenarios: With the increase of customs duties across various jurisdictions, businesses are now compelled to review their supply chain and their potential impacts on their transfer pricing policies; there are strong trends to off-shoring into the US but there are also new opportunities to onshoring into the European Union. The panel will review the transfer pricing consequences and their potential ramifications on customs and VAT.
Panel 2: Impact of VAT in the DIGITAL AGED (ViDA) on the supply chain: VAT and Customs implications: The new ViDA Directive has become final last March : our experts will review the main headlines of the ViDA Directive and will highlight the future changes on the supply chain in relation to the Single VAT Registration avoiding multiple VAT registrations; practical examples of supply chains will be tested such as the mandatory reverse charge mechanism, the end of the call-off stock regime and the new One Stop Shop transfer Module.
Panel 3: Review of recent CJEU cases on VAT and Transfer pricing: Few hot cases are currently arbitrated by the Court of Justice of the European Union involving transfer pricing and its VAT consequences. Our experts will explain the background of those cases, will review the main headlines and will give some takeaways for your businesses.
